Alabama Clean Corridors Workshops

Purpose

The availability of E-85 Ethanol as a motor fuel is rapidly spreading across the country. More and more vehicles are being produced that are Flex Fuel vehicles (FFV's) which can use either E-85 ethanol or unleaded gas. Currently we have no E-85 public access commercial stations in Alabama.

B20 biodiesel can be used in any diesel vehicle today. While there are 20+ stations currently offering B20 in Alabama there is room for many, many more - especially along I-65.

The purpose of the I-65 Clean Corridor Workshops is to provide a FREE forum for you to learn about both the fuels and what it takes to make them available at your retail station in Alabama. You will hear from both state and national speakers and hopefully come away with a desire to make application for the up to $50,000 of grant monies available to help with infrastructure costs.

There is no charge for the Workshops. Please sign up today - just fill in the brief form at the right side of this page - indicate which of the 4 Workshops you wish to attend - and email it to us. We will in turn send you the complete agenda and driving directions to the Workshop locations.

Who Should Attend

The I-65 clean Corridor Workshops are geared to present you with the facts regarding applying for up to $50,000 in grant monies to put in infrastructure for E-85 ethanol and/or B20 biodiesel along I-65.

You will hear from both State and National experts in the four hour workshop. The Governor’s office as well as the Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries offices will be represented.

In addition there will be short overviews presented to bring you up to speed on both B20 biodiesel and E-85 ethanol. The UL &E85 needs will be discussed by a national manufacturer of E-85 equipment.

You will learn the extensive marketing support that will be focused on YOUR station and locality by both state and national organizations. The purpose being to DRIVE BUSINESS through the public's awareness to YOUR STATION.

A Biofuels panel made up of producers, distributors, retailers and others will be available to answer your questions.

And, finally, you will be presented with all the details on how to apply for the I-65 Clean Corridor funding.
